Chris Horgen is the Senior Managing Partner of Fund I and Fund II. He has considerable experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, financial advisory, securities valuation, and corporate legal matters. Mr. Horgen has a wealth of operational and management expertise having been the Chairman, CEO and founder of Nichols Research Corporation for 21 years. Nichols was an information technology and services company in the government and commercial markets which, under Mr. Horgen's direction, grew to over $400 million in revenues prior to its merger with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in November of 1999.

From 1995 to 1999, under the direction of Mr. Horgen, Nichols made fifteen acquisitions and investments in companies providing information technology and services to the healthcare, internet, and telecommunications industries. He placed approximately $140M of capital in acquisitions and investments while serving as CEO of Nichols Research Corporation.

Mr. Horgen currently serves on the boards of several companies, including Emageon, Investment Scorecard, Seventh Wave and Comframe. He received his bachelor and master of science degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and a master's degree in Management Science from the University of Southern California.
